When i was a student's in secondary school, i have no ideas about how important Experiment are. I just think that it is something which wasting of time. But when time goes by, and now as a Science's teacher ,i started to acknowledge that Science and Experiment must goes togehter. You want to know why?
It is because, in Physics particularly, and natural science in general, it will provides us with a reasonable enterprise based on valid experimental evidence, criticism, and rational discussion. It also gave us with knowledge of the physical world, and it is experiment that provides the evidence that grounds this knowledge. Experiment plays many roles in science. One of its important roles is to test theories and to provide the basis for scientific knowledge.
That why, in my lesson and learning process in classroom, i'm always mention to my pupils that how important of experimenting process in every topic of lesson. Experiment can provide hints toward the structure or mathematical form of a theory and it can provide evidence for the existence of the entities involved in our theories. Finally, it may also have a life of its own, independent of theory. Scientists may investigate a phenomenon just because it looks interesting.
